[CMS] Point CMS default to index.php

I am just a bit confused by this and there is no explanation in the help. My CMS is my main landing page but I currently have this option selected as "NO".

    Point CMS default to index.php

Set this to yes if your index.php displays the default CMS page and you would like references to the default page to point there. "NO"

I am assuming I should have it set to YES?

    Also for this one:

    Default Page

If a user visits your CMS site without specifying a page, they will view this page. It should consist of the page number, dash, then the seo url you assigned that page. For example: '1-home-page'. An incorrect value here can prevent CMS from functioning.

Can anyone elaborate on the statement "then the seo url you assigned that page" currently the value for that box is 1-index

by seo do you mean something like vbseo because I do have that installed.
