[CMS] Recent Articles widget shows too much preview text

After upgrading my Recent Articles widget shows much more preview text than before.
In Settings -> Options -> Content Management, the Default Preview Length value is 120 (this is the same value as before upgrading)

On my widget, each article shows much more than the default value... I see 300+ characters. The articles do not have a preview break so I assume it should use the default value.
I've tried changing the Default Preview Length value but I always seem to get more than what I want.

Is there another setting I need to change so that by default the article preview text will display the correct number of characters?

Confirmed. I too see "On my widget, each article shows much more than the default value... I see 300+ characters." my Default Preview Length value is set to 150 and has not changed, but my preview text is showing much more than that.

I have same bug except mine is not showing a preview of 120 or even 300 it is showing like the whole post. Any word on this yet?

Is this not fixed in 4.1.12?
