[Forum] Images inside editing box when linked, how to disable?

How can I disable the feature that automatically pastes an image in when you use the [*IMG] codes? Right now when someone inserts an image with the [img] code it automatically converts that link into an image and pastes it in the editor once you click preview, or go back to edit, which is very annoying.

Is there a way to disable this and leave image links as the IMG code?

That just refers to quotes, im hoping to do it in the edit box.

Turn off WYSIWYG.

Turn off WYSIWYG.

But then people will complain about no smilies or image codes etc.
