vB4.2.2 and IPv6 spam and general IPv6 adoptation

    Hi,

It seems that the spammers have discovered IPv6 to spam. How can I prevent it? Why doesn't vBulletin support IPv6? It "is the leading forum software"? It's a joke
The solution seems to ban/disable all IPv6 in my firewall, but I want to have a IPv6 enabled site. If we as site owners won't provide IPv6 access, users won't want to go to IPv6 because sites are not ready for native IPv6.

I must admit, IPv6 is not as widely spread right now (only about 3% is using it according to google: http://www.google.com/intl/en/ipv6/statistics.html ) but I want to be protected from spam as best as I can be. What should I do?

The only thing AFAIK is that we don't store (in the database) the full IPV6 address. however, anything that can detect or work with spam should get the full address.

What are you using to to help prevent spam?
