[Forum] Paste a large block of CSS to override default styles?

Hi everyone,
To make it easier for me to style my board, I've resorted to using an external stylesheet where I can enter/modify the CSS easily. The only downside with this approach is that when I view my forum, for a brief second, the vBulletin styles are displayed before my stylesheet gets loaded.

I tried adding all of my styles into additional.css using the AdminCP, but that doesn't seem to override all of the styles as I would like. Is there another place I can paste a large chunk of CSS and expect everything to "just work"?

I find that some of the built-in vBulletin styles show up - overriding whatever I have provided in additional.css. It is because of that behavior, I decided to link to my own CSS file.

That shouldn't be the case. Can you provide an example.

Sure - I have attached two screenshots.

The first is of the forums with all of the CSS in question pasted in additional.css:



The second is with all of the relevant CSS placed in the footer:



As you all can see, the styles from additional.css get overwritten or ignored by the time the page is served.

The two pages look virtually identical with the exception of the column header. Try using the !important on that particular css.
