Fresh 4.2.2 install - can't log into the admincp

I have installed version 4.2.2 into a temporary area and want to start configuring it so that I can re launch my site with 4.2.2 rather than 5.0.5.

The install seemed to go fine and I can log onto the forums....but when I try do bring up the adminCP, I put in my credentials and it never takes me to the control panel.

It goes into a never ending loop of putting in credentials -> auto redirect -> putting in credentials

I never make it to the cockpit....lol

    Ideas?

Did you mess with the cookie settings at all during the install?

No. Totally fresh install in a new directory. (This is entirely separate from the VB5 stuff I have been putting up on the ticket system)

I think you have a ticket in with me already, can you provide an ftp and AdminCP login? I'll see whats up and sort it out.

          I don't on my 4.2.2 install....on VB5, I have numerous open tickets.

I am trying to install 4.2.2 in a temporary location so I can configure it, test it and see if I want to go over to 4.2.2 and beg forgiveness of all of my members for having to throw away all of their posts.

I will PM you the credentials for the 4.2.2 install.

What was the fix for this? I'm having the EXACT same issue.

Note: I've installed vbulletin numerous times, and currently run several 4.2.2 forums. This is the first 4.2.2 that Ive installed from scratch. I'm going to remove and try again, I think.

I've followed up in your own thread...we can't assist in other people's threads, it just causes problems.
