When a user places a link in their message it appears as normal text. Something like https://www.google.com/ looks no different than the words before and after the link on my forum.

Go to AdminCP >> Style Manager >> Edit Templates >> CSS Templates >> additional.css
Add something like this, adjusting colors as you wish:
Code:/* change link color and hover in posts*/ .postcontent a {color:Navy; font-weight: bold;} .postcontent a:hover {color: red; font-weight: bold;} /* change link color and hover in sigs*/ .signature a {font-weight: bold;} .signature a:hover {color: red; font-weight: bold;} /* change link color and hover sitewide*/ .link a {color:Navy; font-weight: bold;} .link a:hover {color: red; font-weight: bold;} /* change link colors in cms articles*/ .article a {color:Navy; font-weight: bold;} .article a:hover {color:Red; font-weight: bold;} .article_preview_contents a {color:Navy; font-weight: bold;} .article_preview_contents a:hover {Red; font-weight: bold;}
Code:/* change link color and hover in posts */ .postcontent a {color:#006699; font-weight: bold; text-decoration:underline;} .postcontent a:hover {color: #A9A9A9; font-weight: bold; text-decoration:underline;} /* change link color and hover in sidebar */ .sidebar_container a {color:#006699; font-weight: bold; text-decoration:underline;} .sidebar_container a:hover {color: #A9A9A9; font-weight: bold; text-decoration:underline;} /* change link color and hover in sigs* / .signature a {color:#006699; font-weight: bold;} .signature a:hover {color:#A9A9A9; font-weight: bold;} /* change link color and hover sitewide* / .link a {font-weight: bold;} .link a:hover {color:#A9A9A9; font-weight: bold; text-decoration:underline;}

The links are a different color with the default theme, if you have an issue with the link color with an aftermarket theme, you should really contact the author of the theme for advice.Comment

Regardless of the style/theme, the additional.css solution I posted above should work. If not, try- moving the CSS to the top of additional.css
- moving the CSS to the bottom of additional.css
- adding Code:
!important
Make sure you are editing additional.css for the style you're using.Comment
