It was a true question. Since the setting is there, I wondered about its usefulness.

Someone may already have a location where comments go. They may want to move them to a different forum. The option is there to give options to the end-user.

Great. I should have stuck with 4.1.3.
That makes two things broken in 4.1.8 for me.
        I selected no comments.

            I did notice that.

Hopefully it's reproducible for a developer can fix it.

It was never scheduled to be fixed in vBulletin 4.1.9. It is scheduled to be fixed with the release of 4.1.10 and always has been.

I've got the same issue. The article in question is not open for comments, and it's the only one where the errors occur.

Sadly, it doesn't save my content either. Happy to learn it's already fixed in a future release.. maybe it could be released as a minor patch if it's two versions out though?

Not sure where you get two versions out from ? Its fixed in 4.1.10, which is the next scheduled version.

Sorry, but I am stunned about this.
how can a bug this size be in a released CMS product.

What is even worse, that we have to wait 2 releases for a fix. That is several months without my CMS working.
that is unacceptable for anyone that is working with vb in a professional setting.
please post some kind of patch or oth workaround in the future in stead of letting us down like this.

                        And I have another question:
Saving an article, that is pretty basic CMS stuff which should have been tested. Do you guys test at all with new releases?

Are you in a timewarp ? This is almost two months old now, and long since fixed.
