    500 Server Error: tools.php

    When attempting to run tools.php per VB instructions, we are getting an Internal Server Error 500. Please advise.

    Config:

    PHP 5.3.19
    MySQL: 5. (majority of tables are INNODB with select few as MyISAM necessary to support VB functions).
    IIS 7.5 (Windows Server 2008 R2)

    Same issue present when installing a fresh default copy of VB, no mods, no plugins.

    You need to contact your host and ask what the specific error is. 500 Server Error doesn't provide any information that we can provide support on.

      The 500 Error is coming from:

      [15-Nov-2013 01:52:55 America/New_York] PHP Warning: require_once(./install/includes/class_upgrade.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\inetpub\REDACTEDPATH\tools.php on line 46

      [15-Nov-2013 01:52:55 America/New_York] PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required './install/includes/class_upgrade.php' (include_path='.;C:\php\pear') in C:\inetpub\REDACTEDPATH\tools.php on line 46

      We deleted the install directory upon our most recent upgrade. Are we supposed to re-upload this directory when needing to run tools.php?

          You will need to upload your install directory to use tools.php. Delete the install.php and upgrade.php file from the directory while it is on your server.

            10-4. Kind of a pain to have to upload and delete this directory if tools.php is needed, but that's what we'll do.
