[Forum] Minimum File Upload Size

We are having an issue with files that are in the bytes.

If anyone uploads a file that is say a few bytes like a small xml file, rar file, etc the file seems to upload but when you click the file, the attachment does not exist?

We have a stand alone downloads modification installed and this receives small files without any issues...

So that kinda rules out php/mysql/nginx/etc (I believe?)

Just wondered if vbulletin had some kind of minimum file size that it could accept?

anything bigger works fine?

I just uploaded a 1 byte file as a test via admincp > maintenance > diagnostics > upload test with this result

Also uploaded a 2 byte .txt file to a thread and it attached ok.

No errors occurred while opening the uploaded file for reading.

There is no minimum size. Are they uploading attachments specified as valid in the Attachment Manager? Are they attaching the files to actual posts or content? If they don't they will be deleted after an hour.

Thanks for the replies... I have tried uploading files in zip, rar, xml which are all supported in the attachment manager. I have attached them to posts too. But if they are small in bytes the attachment is not found? If they are larger in size 100k etc they are found? I will disable all mods in the config file and restart php etc, and see what happens. Thanks again for the replies
