[Forum] How to include tags in the basic search

Unless I am mistaken, tags are not included in a search done using the search box in the navbar. At our site, at least, you have to go to advanced search and specify you want to search tags.

So my question is, is there an easy way to include tags in the basic/standard search function so that the results include content tagged with the search term? Is this something you can change in the settings? If not, can anyone suggest another solution?

There is no setting for this. Any type of modification to accomplish this could be requested or discussed on vBulletin.org.

Thanks for your answer. Am I the only one who is surprised the VB don't include tags in the standard search? Tags are the most basic way of organising information, after all.

Yes, you are right. There should definitely be a 'search within content tagged with X' option in advanced search.
Please submit a feature request in the tracker and post a link to it, so we can vote.
