Denying Email Address Aliases at Registration

In registration, how do we block the use of email address alias (adding a plus sign to username) especially in hotmail and gmail?
We are infested by spammers using that trick to generate quick email accounts.

Is it possible to allow only alphanumeric characters on email address field in registration? No dots, no + sign, nor any other special characters. Something like Username Regular Expression in ACP > vBulletin Options > User Registration Options

There is no function to change this without modifying the code. you can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.

Actually, there is. We already blocked users registering an alias email add. No modification needed, no template edit.
