Today upgraded to 4.1.7 and all of a sudden some characters are messed up on the CMS articles. Anybody knows what is causing this?

Hmm seems to be caused by editing the comments.php file
Any other way to increase the amount of comments on articles from 20 to lets say 100 before pagination kicks in? -
That is weird... What text editor are you using to edit the .php file? If it's "Windows Notepad" I suggest trying a "real" text editor like Notepad2 or Notepad++ (you can google for them), the built in Windows Notepad is notorious for inserting unwanted characters.Comment

I have tried Notepad, Wordpad and eventually used MS Word. With the latter it worked (lol?). Successfully increased the comments to 100 now.
Still think this should be a setting in the admincp so it doesnt get overwritten with each updateComment

You really should grab yourself a real text editor, there are many free ones out there. Will save a lot of headaches in the future.Comment
