Is there a way to change from 4 to 3?

To be honest, I regret ever having upgraded my forums to version 4. Version 3 was so much easier to run and had just the things I needed. Now version 4 has too much stuff built into it and causes too many issues. It has way too many functions that I will never use. Is there a way I could keep my members and posts and change back to 3? I bet many people would like this option.

Only way is to restore a backup. Many people (myself included) use 4 very successfully. If you let us know what issues you are having we can try to help.

I also regretted doing it. VB3 is much better in readability and usability, returning visit rate dropped 50% immediately after the upgrade, my competitor is still using vB3 and thrived by my upgrade. There are also many small bugs to be fixed. Though vB 4 does have some advantages such as video support and a new editor with auto-save.

Find another script such as phpBB, myBB, etc. which lets you convert your vB4 forum to them.
Convert your forum to it then get the vB converter(Impex) and convert your new script to vB3.

vB5 is unequivocally the best forum software, but not yet...

          Loses all the URLs though.

Better in my opinion to trry and work through whatever issues are being experienced on vB4,

I am not having any real issues at the moment but it just has so much functions I will never be using like forum runner, or skimlinks..etc. and my members are not visiting as often because the forum looks so more complicated than before. I have lost all my album pics after upgrading ( I missed something that should have been done before the upgrade). It's just way too complex now. I will try to do some of the suggestions in this post and hope for the best. I do wish that VBulletin team would make a script to convert back and I am sure many will be happy to buy it.
