[Forum] Blank/Bad Page After Upgrade 4.1.7

My forum was working just fine before the upgrade...

    I copied the upgrade files...
    (upgrade went fine)

    Bad Home Page:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

one tech suggested replace the htaccess with the new one...
so I did that, no change...I have already given my ftp
to at least two techs, nothing has been done as of yet.

but if someone already knows the problem, please
let me know so I can get this fixed quickly.

    Thanks

It's a totally blank page? Here is a page from the manual about troubleshooting blank or 'white' pages: https://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/blank_pages

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

This is what I see in firefox:
        The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
You replaced your old .htaccess with the new one in the do_not_download directory?

When I go to your site and hover over any link, I see www.yoursite.com. Yet, you are saying the url should be forum.yoursite.com. You must have some code doing that redirect somewhere. Have you double-checked it? Also, when I go to your site, the whole site is in the /forum directory. So, what are you using at the root index.php page? It seems that that page is not coded correctly.

edit: Nevermind. It seems you fixed it while I was replying.

Zach fixed the issue; something about a glitch in index.php

Yes, before the upgrade, I was in the process of moving everything too forum.advertisingboard.com

no matter how I setup my sub directory "forum" is going to be the root directory, unless I am wrong
then someone would be able to access the forum any method:

          http://www.advertisingboard.com/forum/ or

If I am wrong, please let me know; I prefer the later url...

so what is this new htaccess about?

Although some people do it, we do not officially support hosting different parts of vBulletin on different sub-domains.
