  • [Forum] What can I do to keep spam from being typed on to my website?

    My website is at http//www.nkscouting.com
It has a VBulletin board, which is what it uses
    for forums.

Apparently, there is a way to read posts before they appear on my forums.
Can anyone help me with this?

Something curious is going on when opening your site link, it's going to http://http//www.nkscouting.com
Can someone confirm this or is my system broken?

I cannot get to the link either.

But to answer the original question- vBulletin has what is called the "moderation queue" which you can use if you want that will require a mod or admin to manually approve every post before it is made public. This is a lot of work however. The best way to deal with spam is to prevent it. If you use Question and Answer verification in Admin CP -> Settings -> Human Verification Manager you should not have too many spammers. The ones that get through you can deal with by deleting their posts and banning their accounts. Manually approving every post isn't realistic for most forums.

Just a colon missing from the OP's link (after http).
