I added a field in our forums that asks a user for a special email address. I then need to check this email address against a list of email addresses we have in a database. If they are in there I need to add them to a user group. I do not see this is possible in vanilla VB so am thinking I need to write a plugin that will do all this? Is there a place I can read up on how to do this?
