    [Forum] MALWARE HAMMERING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been with Vb for 12 years and have NEVER had the issues I am having now with my site. Since I upgraded to the latest 4.x it has been one mess after another with hacking, spam, mass fake users joining the site. YES the install stuff is removed. Right now I have Malware having a field day on my site.
How do you TURN OFF THE ACTIVITY STREAM? I have paid 90 bucks for a company to try to remove all the crap that has nailed my site.

Have you started a support ticket so we could look into it?

At the advice of my server people they had me check out sucuri.net which I did and found a ton of crap, so I paid for that service and they have cleaned me up. I removed the install folder before this major malware attck hit. I have since disabled some things the site does not need. How do I TURN OFF the Activity Stream? I don't like it first of all and when all this first hit that was infected, since removed.
I have not opened a ticket. I did not think you all looked into site infections as this was???

There is no off switch for the activity stream, but you can just not link to it, by editing the navbar manager links.

At the navigation manager and In the drop down menu for activity stream it will say "is default" you need to set default for home page or whatever, big yes fan by the way.

I still can't get it to go away when you type in www.yesfans.com I want it to go to the forums, not this activity stream. Jeesh, why can't it just have a turn off button.

Yea I like them. Have been running my forum for them since 2001. They just got off tour. Still sound good 45 years into it with the new lead singer.
