    My website was hacked

    Location of the hacked files are as below

    There are several guides of to recovery from a hack floating around. Have a look at them and try the suggestions mentioned there.

        I am currently using vBulletin 3.8.9 PL1 and want to know if the Forumrunner exploit is a problem on that version.

          Forum Runner isn't built into vB3, and to my knowledge no patch was released for the standalone version (Forum Runner is technically obsolete these days).

          Since you have a vB5 license, you could download a copy of vB4, pull the forum runner folder from there, and use that to overwrite your current copy (take a backup first).
          I'm not 100% sure this will work as I can't test it, but it should do.

          If you need further help, please start your own thread with full details of the issue. This is a very old thread that isn't actually relevant to the problem, and so will cause confusion.

            Thats not actually true, The vb 3.8 product was patched and released as version 1.7.5
