[Forum] I deleted a user but their posts are still showing!!!

Shouldn't their posts have disappeared too when I deleted the user?

How can I get rid of their posts?

deleting user does not delete their post.

you should have deleted their posts first and then delete user.

Make a back up of your database and go to Thread Pruning option in admincp. From there you should be able to do it.

So I can't delete posts/threads/comments in the User Manager? I have to use the pruning option?

        That is correct.

Had you not deleted the user you could have "Found all posts by this user" and deleted them a page at a time on the forum side, too.

Are you sure you want to delete all of that users posts? Often screws up the continuity of a thread.

If they're a spammer I'd want to delete all their posts

Is there a common title in each of the spam threads? If so, you could prune based on title.

Open the thread and find the post. In the upper right corner click on the check box. The post is highlited. Scroll down to the moderation tools button. Open the menu and select > delete posts as spam. Follow the prompts.

"Delete Posts as Spam" has a limit of 50 posts. If they have over 50 posts delete as spam won't delete them all.

That's true. But if you check your forum on a regular basis spammers won't have a chance to go nutso. A couple of trust worthy mods help too.
