[Forum] How do I delete a Banned user's 1,868 posts quickly?

Hello, How do I delete a Banned user's 1,868 posts quickly, instead of only 20 at a time?

    Thank you,
    Jetson

Admin CP > Threads and Posts > Prune > Prune by Username (at the bottom of the screen)

Enter the username and select a forum or all forums. You will get a screen to select automatic pruning or selective pruning.

Can I delete 28,000 posts at once? It says, "Pruning many threads is a server intensive process because of the amount of data that must be removed. Use with care!" I don't want to crash site. Or does it just mean it will take awhile?

It might be wise to try pruning on just one forum first to see how well your server handles the load. You can use the pulldown when pruning posts to choose a particular forum.

Thank you! I also am now using the, "Original post date is at least X days ago" and if it's too many then I go back and change the amount of days. That's working very nicely! Thanks again for your help!

Once you clean up the mess these spammers made, I suggest following the tips outlined here:

After Pruning, the posts are still on the Forums. How can I fix this?

After Pruning, the posts are still on the Forums. If I try to Prune again it says, "No Threads Matched Your Query".

Are you using the Prune by Username and selecting All Forums function?

Can you provide a link to your forum so we can see what you're referring to.

I had used the "User Name" field under "Other Options" in the "Prune Threads Manager" instead of "Prune by Username".

It's working now. Thank you Andy!
