Hi,
I'm new here after recently purchasing vBulletin 4.1.5 publishing Suite.
I have looked for an answer to the following but cannot find one so apologies if this has been answered already.
My Issue:
I would like to post articles to my CMS landing page (which I can do) that can only be viewed by certain usergroups. I have 2 usergroups as well as registered usergroup.
It seems that Articles can only be set to:
Administrators
Moderators
Registered Users
Super Moderators
Users Awaiting Moderation
It seems you cannot add custom usergroups to articles or vice-versa.
I have setup Sections which can hold articles that can only be read by usergroups that have permission to read that Section.
However the article titles (not content) remain viewable by all even those that do not have permission to read the article. If a registered user without the article usergroup permission clicks the article he is taken to a page telling him he does not have permission.
Example - What I would like to achieve:
UsergroupA
UsergroupB
ArticleA
ArticleB
ArticleA title to show if a user logs on from UsergroupA. ArticleB title to remain hidden.
ArticleB title to show if a user logs on from UsergroupB. ArticleA title to remain hidden.
Is there a way to have article titles only viewable to certain logged on users? (I know how to achieve this within Forums - but I wish to achieve this in the CMS section).
I tried this with a widget which worked but I need it in the main CMS page.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Thank you.
