    [Forum] Changing Domain

I run a gaming forum and have done since 2008. We are changing to a gaming community instead of just a clan and we are changing name which means change of domain. If I purchase a new domain is it just the license that needs updating with the correct name and domain? or is there something else that needs changing?

First, go into the AdminCP and change the forum URL. Then, go into the member's area (on this site) and change the URL you have registered with vBulletin so the new domain doesn't get flagged as a non-legit licensee.

Few of the things that you mentioned in your blog I'm not sure about. You really have to move your forum files on your FTP? I thought it would be a simple replacement when the domain has been changed. Talked to my server host and they've provided me on what to do. Doing a backup first and then editing the config file.
