[Forum] How to disable Search in some subforums?

Hi, I had a member do a search on username and it took them to our staff lounge area, where they do not have perms. This is the only way they can get there, but once they do, the full thread is in view that is pulled up from the search. Is there a way around this? Like disabling certain forums from being searched?

I am using version 4.1.4.

This wouldn't happen unless you have plugins or modifications that deal with search. The default search engine only returns results the end user has permissions to see.
