    Spam problem

Hello. There is a user (not robot) that registers with different users and IPs and always puts the same phrases of spam.

Spam-o-matic does not work as it registers with different IPs and emails.

    As I can stop it?

As always puts the same text, I can censor entire sentences?

    thanks

I don't know for sure but I think it will, it is worth trying in my opinion.

That would be great. That can be put into moderation automatically a message if it contains a word, words, or phrases.

Now that I think about it there is an older mod called "Monkey Stop Spam" or something like that (Search for monkey) that would auto moderate based on a word or words perhaps. Not sure if it was ever updated to VB4 but I'm thinking the 3.x version would likely work on 4.x although I haven't used in years so not sure. AT the very least it would be a decent start to a custom VB4 solution.
you know if it works for vb 4.2.1?

Here's some .htaccess stuff to block many known spambots:

    Code:
    RewriteEngine On

Also, set a timer for the submit button on register.php using one of the mods at vBulletin.org. Spam-O-Matic has recently started generating weird false positives on IP. This could be due to a security compromise of dynamic IP ranges in the United States. Better to set it for e-mail address only at this time.

Thanks but do not understand the advantage of using "Global Ignore".

I mean. This type register with a new user> makes spam> I sense it> and ban and delete your posts (spam-o-matic)

Then he will not be able to publish to that user, but if you register again, spam reissue.

This type register with a new user> makes spam> I sense it> and I put in "Global Ignore" and messages are hidden from the public

First I have to detect it. Before your messages will be detected visible.

My problem is that registers with new users and even makes the spam, I can not detect it. Always put the same phrases.

    I understand it's "Global Ignore"?

    Thanks for your help

If he is satisfied when he can log in and publish spam, you can set him into Harvey mode. He will be the only one seing his own posts then, others will not be able to see it.

This person will sign up with multiple accounts and never the same IP, sometimes the IP field is empty admincp.

    I do not understand:

"You could then just keep That account for him and put him on Harvey"

    thanks

    PS: sorry for my English

Does that person open new accounts even when he can post and doesn't get deleted? You could then just keep that account for him and put him on Harvey

    Thank you.

The admincp censor censorship only individual words. I intetnado censor phrases but does not recognize it.

    I want to censor, for example: {hello i am}

    but then I blame all the {hello} {i} {am}.

Looking for exact phrases. There is something similar?

    Thanks again
