upgade stopped 386 to latest 4

the upgrade runs for a while and then stops:

<error>Could not create file system directory to hold your attachment.</error>

what directory is it trying to create please?

I've determined that the file location $this->info['filedata_location'] is empty though adding some echo statements.

where is this field set in the database so I can set it and rerun it...

You need to chmod the attachments directory and all subdirectories like this:

chmod -R 777 attachments

In the setting table, varname = attachpath

Also copied in the datastore table so you need to edit or rebuild it after changing.
