[Forum] CKEditor not loading toolbar buttons in 4.1.5 version

hi, we are having lots of issues after upgrade to 4.1.5 and even thinking to rollback to previous version I wish we get our issues solved.

for now, toolbar is not loading for chrome and for some users behavior toggles like toolbar loads in firefox and other browsers but most of time not.
let me send u screenshots in both cases that happend on my pc. try to your side too. please

I will rollback the changes in 4.1.5 to 4.1.3 .. I have about 2k posts ..

I strongly suggest rolling back. The new editor has been a huge failure.

Actually virtually all the problems with the CKEditor are dues to style modifications or add-ons which are not compatible with the new editor.

To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

[Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

Next, disable all products (except vB Blog and vB CMS if you are running the Suite.)

Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Disable

Then manually uncheck all plugins that are not for 'vBulletin Blog' and vBulletin CMS' here:

Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Plugin Manager

Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it.

I hope future versions of vbulletin will see the editor optimized so it loads faster.

IE8 seemed to be the biggest issue here for me.

IE9+ will load the editor, not very well though.

Even after creating a new default style there is problems. All plugins were disabled.

Edit: disabling all hooks in the config.php did the trick. Though I had already disabled all plugins?? Not to sure how that works.

Apparently the only way to disable plugins is to do it through config.php. Not sure why it's even showing in in Admin CP if that doesn't work completely.

Hi, I have the similar problem in IE for some users. They canot ipput any text to editor becouse it doesn't have neither input field nor toolbar.


I also recived complains from Firefox users. They have editor and toolbar, but buttons in editor don't have images they have only text

Make sure the sprite.png has been uploaded to the editor directory for the style you're using

I have checked and I'm sure. Moreover some users don't have these problems, but some have.
