I wondered whether it is possible to have a chat facility on a vbulletin forum? If not, is this something vbulletin are planning to introduce?

There are addons on www.vbulletin.org. Unlikely there will ever be an official one as part of the core product. Hope not anyway.

Thanks Mark, just wondered really as the Private Messaging doesn't seem to cut it - members are asking for an instant messaging option.

I use this one, it is nice cause it is easy to moderate during the chat.

No it won't but if you're having issues with your site then we may ask you to disable it to assist in troubleshooting
