[Forum] Dev Site won't allow login

Alright, so I'm attempting to use a dev site and login won't work.

I've updated the paths in config,php, however login keeps taking me back to the root folder which is my main installation, so it's impossible to login to the admincp.

Help?

Did you clean the cookies of your browser yet? Did you try another browser in general?

You need to set the correct bburl in the database. Use phpmyadmin or some other tool to go to the setting table, find the entry for bburl and change the value to your forum URL for the test site. Make sure you DO NOT end the URL in a slash... just http://www.domain.com/vbtest (example)

After you make that change you need to upload tools.php from the do_not_upload folder of the install package to your admincp directory, browse to it directly in your browser, and run the option to refresh settings or options, then delete the tools.php file and you should be good.
