facebook connect doesn't show in IE

On my forum the facebook login button shows in Firefox , chrome but not in IE

That is a known issue and will be fixed with the next version.

Actually it is not likely to be fixed in the next version (4.2.1) - The 4.2.1 fixes are already coded- this bug has no fix yet- http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBIV-15541

This is not a new problem and has existed for quite some time.
Last I heard here it was facebooks problem. FF is just fine.

Please vb, put some troubleshooting assets on this as vb4 doesnt get many updates anymore.

I complained about this back in January, likely was a problem before then.

The reason I want to bump this thread is for that, plus the request that vB4 not be dropped just yet.

vB 5 isnt gold yet and I know that there is a big push for this, but we are asking for some continued support at least until vB4 goes end-of-life.

I am no longer able to access this bug in the tracker. It keeps saying "Permission Violation" on JIRA. Can someone from staff clarify please?
