[Forum] How to enforce email verification for all new users

Hi,

I have tried searching the VB documentation but no answer came up in the search results.

At the moment the default option seems to be that a new user doesn't have to email verify.

How do you make all new users have to verify their email in order to complete registration?

Admin CP > Settings > Options > User Registration Options > Verify Email address in Registration (select yes)

If you set this option to 'Yes' new members will not be allowed to post messages until they visit a link that is sent to them in an email when they sign up.

If a user's account is not activated by the user visiting the link, it will remain in the 'Users Awaiting Activation' usergroup.
