    [Forum] How Turn Off "What's Going On"?

    How can I temporarily disable the entire "What's Going On" section until my site has grown to a reasonable size of registered members, threads and posts? (I searched this topic under vB4 and couldn't find an answer.)

        I think thats only possible by editing the forum home templates. Unfortunately vbulletin does not have such CMS functions to select what you want to show on forum home.
        I buy 420 forums

          Thanks, Alfa1! Is there an easy way to make "What's Going on?" invisible to new site visitors?

            Edit your FORUMHOME template and find:
            HTML Code:
            <!-- what's going on box -->
            Change to:
            HTML Code:
            <vb:if condition="!$show['member'] AND !$show['guest']">
            <!-- what's going on box -->
            Find:
            HTML Code:
            <!-- end what's going on box -->
            Change to:
            HTML Code:
            <!-- end what's going on box -->
            </vb:if>

                No problem! And whenever you want to view it again, just simply remove that conditional

                  if you mean quests then there is a option to not let them see this in user group Who's Online Permissions/Can View Who's Online set to no
                  but this will only remove the first part of that ss u have
                  but i see by your website you mean the while thing

                        Good Morning, i’m having the same issue but I’m unable to find The FORUMHOME template in order to enter this code. I’m using 4.2.5. Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

                              Glad you got it sorted. If you need further assistance, please start a new thread with the full details of your issue....this thread is almost eight years old and advice provided in it may well be out of date and thus can cause confusion
