[Forum] Username URL error

Hi, I have a problem with a user of my forum. His nickname is "-andrea-" but, I don't know why, his profile URL is forum/members/andrea.html instead of forum/members/-andrea-.html. Due to this problem, he is linked to the profile of another user (Andrea).

I'm not sure what could be the solution. Any idea?

I actually see that, if i just put the cursor on his nickname, the url is forum/members/-andrea-.html, but when I click on it i'm redirected to forum/members/andrea.html


could it be a vbSEO problem?

@Hawk2: I would like to solve the problem without changing his nickname

EDIT 2: If I change it to --andrea-- , it continues to ignore the "-" characters.

dont add the - change his name to something else like john or joe then pm him and tell him why you did it and ask him to pick another name then update that name to what he wants it to be as long as there are no -- in it
