[Forum] What are best anti spam settings?

G'day,

I have a new urljet.com vb and 3000 members. We have a seriously timewasting problem with spammers, particularly the blog section.

We were currently getting 2 an hour, and it is exhausting my mods deleting and banning.

Could anyone please give me some advice on the best policies and settings to deal with spammers?

I'm considering setting up another usergroup that has full posting rights, and setting the new users to moderation of some kind, to help us more easily separate spammers from genuine new members.

I'll be grateful for any advice more experienced users can offer.

First step is: Set up a few questions and answers.
Bots cannot answer them,they cannot register > no spam from them.
