[Forum] bb code & smilies not showing.

Hi,

I am having a problem where I cant get the bbcode or the smilies to show for anyone other than admin.



Thats the screenshot of my settings. I know its something I have configured which is causing the problem but I dont what it is.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, After further tests, I have found that no other admins can see the bb code icons or smilies. So it must be only limited to my account .

I have installed '[CKEditor] MARCO1 Advanced Quick Reply And Edit' hack and the problem still persists. Cant find any permissions for bbcode and smilies anywhere else other than in the screenshot.

Try this. Create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Then change to this style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

If you do, empty your browser cache, close all browser windows and try again.

If you do not have this problem with the original templates, then this means the problem is with one or more of your custom templates. You need to revert your templates, then redo your changes.

Hi,

I created a new style with no parent. Set it as default and problem persists.

Emptied browser cash restarted browser and problem persists.

Tried from different browsers and problem persists.

Still not showing bbcode and smilies to anyone other than me.

Ok , check the code for any post posted by you with smilies and see their link .

Its not that they cant post the smilies its just they dont see them to select them. When using the editor or advanced reply. they dont show, neither bbcode or smilies.

Hi i installed the new update with the CK editor and when trying to reply in the Quick reply box and use a smilie I get this message come up.."Shift+R improves the quality of this image. Shift+A improves the quality of all images on this page"...If I use the go advanced reply they work fine...any ideas people? and thanks.

Nope, I meant the smilies and the bbcode are not showing, for example the smilies showing to the right of the editor. Or the code showing above the editor.

This makes me think its a permission issue, But I dont know where to correct it.
