[Forum] Language pack compatibility for VB 4

Hello

I am looking for the french language pack to replace english by french on my last version of VB 4.1.3 .

I found the languages pack but I see that they are for the version 3 .

FR - French language pack #23 [vBulletin 3.8.5] (forum)

I didn't find anything linked to VB version 4 .

Could anyone tell me if I can use this version to update the language on the version 4.1.3 ?

If not is there any french language pack avaible for the Vbulletin 4.1.3

You can use a language file for an older version.
However, it is strongly recommended that you go through all updated phrases Admin CP -> Languages & Phrases -> Find Updated Phrases and go over all of them since some of them contain variables etc. that is changed and this can break some functionality.

Hello

I tried to switch from languages followed the instructions in the file but nothing happen .
I upload the new languages file from version 3.8.5 . I tried with create new language or selected english no changes .
Ignore language version YES , I click upload the new file upload 100%
Importing language please wait then I get the message Rebuilding Language English (US) (Default) ...Done

But when I check for Find Updated Phrases or to select the french language there is nothing more than before and the forum is still in english .

Any idea ?

Well yes I did exactly like showed on the video .But it end with Rebuilding Language English (US) (Default) ...Done and no extra language is added to set deffault I am sure to do exactly like showed and I use the last version from vbulletin but the language pack is for version 3.8.5I selected the option YES for Ignore language version .I will try with a different language will to see what happen Anyway thx for the help provided Leole

Well I tried with the spanish language for 3.8.4 and it worked so I tested with the french version 3.8.4 and its not working Incredible look like 4.1.3 not like the french language lol .....

Any idea ?

Not sure, maybe try and contact teh person who made the translation.
But one thing you could check if the encoding of the language file is correct? i.e. the same as your database? UTF8 or ISO-8859-1
