[CMS] How do I turn off Recent Forum Post, Recent Articles?

How do I turn off Recent Forum Post and Recent Articles?

How can I move them from Left to Right or vice versa?

Do I have the ability to change the attributes (width mostly) of the blocks?

If I leave the Recent Forum Post block does a individual user have the ability to turn that off from their view only?

To answer your first question, you just need to start messing with GRIDS and LAYOUTS in the ACP. Once you take a look at those, then ask more questions if they come up.

To answer your second question, no. Users do not have the ability to control the block layouts and/or visibility in the CMS.

Depends. In the forum they are "blocks" and can be dismissed by clicking the little chevron on the side. In the CMS they are "widgets" and the user cannot dismiss them. Couldn't be sure of your question because you are saying blocks.

I took it as the CMS, since his thread prefix is [CMS]. Could be wrong, though...

It was CMS, I don't have anything in the forums (yet) due to lack of knowlege. And pardon my wrong choice of words as vB has a steep learning curve for me. Appreciate all that helps. =]

I have tried to spend a decent amount of time learning and understanding the CMS, so that is why I keep answering your questions. I sometime think people who call the CMS crap just don't know how to tweak it to do what they want. There really are a bunch of things you can do with it if you take the time to figure it out. Sure, there are plenty of things it CAN'T do as well, but not nearly as much as people complain about. Of course, that is just my opinion...

I am enjoying it so far, just frustrated at what I try to do and finding out where to do it at, sometimes I am at a loss. Again, many thanks for your help as my site is coming along.....

ACP -> vBulletin CMS -> Grid Manager
ACP -> vBulletin CMS -> Layout Manager
