    Hi,

    I checked your load times:

    http://tools.pingdom.com/?url=http://www.protoolers.com/forum/

    The load time was 8.5 seconds =/ and oddly, it stopped loading because of a timeout, with this error message (at the above link).

    "Processing was stopped because of internal error: TIMEOUT_EXPIRED()"

    Does your Host have the max-execution-timeout set too low?

    You may want to check the link above - allow the test to automatically run, then sort the list by "Load Times." When I did that on your site, the 2 scripts which took the longest to load were these:

    http://www.protoolers.com/forum/clientscript/vbulletin_facebook.js?v=412

    http://www.protoolers.com/forum/clientscript/yui/connection/connection-min.js?v=412

    Hope that helps.

        It could be the default template, I don't know.

        Did you clear all your cache before using a different template - to make sure the new template wasn't loading quicker to due the cache?

        Even if your scripts were running quick a week ago, the more load (bigger) they get (like Facebook for example), the more resources they pull on the database, and can lead to a Timeout.

        That's what happened to me.

        My php setting by my host were:

        max_execution_time = 30 (seconds)

        max_input_time = 30 (seconds)

        *ridiculous*

        I asked my host to change them b/c they don't allow php.ini editing or max times in the .htaccess. So, they reset it to this:

        max_execution_time = 400
        max_input_time = 400

        After that, I've had no problem.

        Anyhow, on your site, Facebook and the Yahoo script are the ones which are timing you out. No idea why.

            Hi protoolers2,
            A 4xx Client Error is slowing down your website.
            After checking your webpage perfomance, I found that the problem is in the following ads-site, which you use in your website: adspremium(.)com
            Remove this ad from your site.
