[CMS] CMS Home page stuck on default forum style, cannot select 2nd custom forum style

We've got a custom style working on our forum. When I try and select the custom style on the CMS home page it just reverts back to the default VB blue style. I looked in the CMS section and Styles & Templates section in admin for the forum and don't see any settings for style. I also checked the "Content Management" page under Settings>Options in the forum admin panel and nothing there.

Use the section editor (hover next to the title and click on the pencil). In the section information > style, choose "inherit".
