I want to create a directory of businesses as posts in a forum category, but I don't want them to appear in "whats new", "latest posts" or the rss feed.
Is there a simple way to do this?

Sorry, there is no function to do this. This requires modifying the code. Forums that are not visible to guests won't show up on the rss feeds.Comment

thanks for the replies. Perhaps i can just hide the forum, add all the posts and then make it visible? I will also check out some plugins.
Anyway, I was surprised there wasn't a menu option for this.Comment

As soon as you make your posts visible, they'll be back on whatever subforum they were moved to's rss feed.Comment

It is odd that the RSS feature is an all or nothing option. I don't want other forums, etc. using my RSS feed to pull everything to their site; however, I do want to feed articles and blogs. The RSS feed option does not need to be enabled to import RSS feeds, and vise versa.Comment
