I have a free forum and wanting to change to paid subscription, I am not sure how to change over those that I wish to have to pay who are already members of the free forum. I plan to offer moderators and top contributors permanent free subscription but will need to import the original member database into the new paid subscription forum and start charging the other members who wish to continue being members of the forum. I am considering charging under $5 a month and feel the low cost may keep a few members who feel they do get good service and support from the forum. Is this going to be a logistical nightmare?

The same idea should work, but manually move the members you wish to give free membership to, to the new usergroup.
