We want to add new tabs to the navbar, for external links. Hmmm. I've looked up various threads (do we have to go to vBulletin.org for the answer?). But a basic query first - is there some way we can test things out without affecting our default template?

Export your default style, then reimport it with a different name and disable user selection. Then only admins can use it.
then mess about with your navtabs in the new style, this will then not affect the live one.
Once you're satisfied, simply replicate the changes from the test style to the live one.MARK.B

Zachery, We're using our own style, but the vB4 default style is also available. But that's what I was wondering - if I (well, not me personally, but our chief technology operative ) created a child style off our own default style, do any modifications of the kind needed to add extra navtabs only apply to that child style which we then wouldn't need to switch to until we were sure it was functioning properly?
Sorry, this is so basic, but I like to understand what it is I'm asking our techie Mark to do.Comment
