[Forum] Thread is read, but still marked unread? Why?

I have a problem on my forums, don't know if it's a problem that my product "sub-forum manager" is causing, but when I read a thread, it still thinks I haven't read it and marks it as a new post unless I manually mark all forums read.

    First, set this:

Admin CP -> Settings -> Options -> General Settings -> Thread/Forum Read Marking Type -> Database (automatic forum marking)

Then change this is if want, or you can leave it at the default:

Admin CP -> Settings -> Options -> General Settings -> Database Read Marking Limit

The first time you set this all posts will show up as unread because the database marking is new. Once you mark the forums as read everything will work fine.

Well, will this increases my database size by a lot?
And how come the cookie isn't working right? I have a different website that the cookie works correctly on.

Yes, it will increase the database but not as much as allowing search or attachments. Cookies cannot keep track of individual posts. That is what the read system is designed to do.
