[Forum] Tranfers of servers --- problem with styles or encoding (i think)

    Hello,
I transfered the forum to another server.....
Transfered the files with ftp and Imported the database.
The forum is working fine, except for one thing i think....
If the post has a url like
    http://www.hawkfire.gr/forums/upload...3;ης.
That is there are Greek in the parameters of the url, then the post is inacessible ...
Otherwise i can see posts that are writen to greek or english, as long as there is not a greek lettering in the url....
Or i think this is the problem....
I imported the database two times, with utf8 and latin1 (now is in the version imported in latin1), but the problem is the same.

In Firefox the above URL is translated as

      http://www.hawkfire.gr/forums/upload...F4%E1%F3%E7%F2.

      And gives this error....

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /forums/upload/showthread.php could not be found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

In other posts there are greek or latin letters reprsesented correctly and this means that the post works fine and in some others like the above there are those hexadecimal codes, which give the error in the browser....

This may be due to mod_security. If so, please see this thread for the possible fix:

Note: The .htaccess file does not work all the time, particularly if mod_security2 is installed. If that's the case then your host will need to identify which rules are causing this and make the appropriate adjustments.

It has something to do with Friendly URLs....

The site works fine if i use standard URLs

Any other option and gives the above errors....

          Thanks...

When i posted the first post i clicked the link i have put there, with the problematic page and it worked just fine. It did not worked when i clicked from my site, and i do not know if it worked or not from other machines.

When i tested other settings in the friendly URL settings in admin it gave different results for different settings. For example advanced friendly URL (the third setting) made the whole site inaccesible.

              Did you check for mod_security?

I managed to fix the problem without bothering with mod security....... if exists in my server. I do not want to bother the hosting company for this nor like to mess with the possible security factors on my server.
