vBulletin Captcha & reCaptcha Not Functioning

Make sure the *.TTF files are uploaded to your images/regimage/fonts directory.

If you still have this problem after that then this is caused by Freetype 2 support not being compiled into PHP and requires PHP to be recompiled.

Hmm... I re-uploaded the whole images folder, but still nothing. I am not intending to use the vBulletin Captcha I would like to use reCaptcha. But that doesn't show at all. If i could fix that it would be splendid, also could you please elaborate to me on how I can recompile my PHP, I'm a reseller if that helps.

We do not provide server support but you can check the PHP home page for info on recompiling PHP: http://www.php.net

Your picture is of the vB Captcha. The only way that ReCaptcha wouldn't show is if you have a modification that is interfering with this. Are you saying that doesn't work either? If so, then to troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

[Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

Next, disable all products (except vB Blog and vB CMS if you are running the Suite.)

Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Disable

Then manually uncheck all plugins that are not for 'vBulletin Blog' and vBulletin CMS' here:

Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Plugin Manager

You must do BOTH of those steps in order to disable all non vBulletin Modifications.
Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Then make this the default style.

Admin Control Panel -> vBulletin Options -> Style & Language Settings -> Default Style

Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again.

Ah ok i got it, the only problem would be i don't know how to upload in ACSII format, Is it possible to do so when using an FTP client such as FileZilla if possible please elaborate to me how, I'm running cPanel Accelerated 2 just to let you know. This might also fix my sitemap issue

Edit: Scanned without re-uploading vBulletin forum's. I also see something related to the Sitemap is that why my forum isn't working?

I'm sorry but i did state, My additional forum Captcha is undoubtedly working fine www.solohost.org/forum/register.php, I'm running another forum which is a test forum because i want to go in-depth much more into vBulletin i was practicing to change servers and such and would like to know how to solve this problem, so the people on my host that run vBulletin i would be able to help them. So if you could tell me how to solve this problem it would help, since it has allot of threads and such and I'm planning to move it to solohost once the forum is fixed etc., So far the only problems I'm getting is an XML Sitemap problem, which im not getting help with and the re-Capthca.

What is the exact problem with the test site? The instructions in post #4 should definitely work with ReCaptcha.

Your FTP client is supposed to be smart enough to figure out which is which, however some aren't. You need to set it up so these extensions are uploaded as ASCII:

php
txt
html
css
js
htm
xml

And these as Binary:

gif
jpg
jpeg
png
ico
TTF

I don't know what you mean about the sitemap. Please explain.

Ok leave the sitemap for now, it's giving me a headache. I'm using the FTP client, Filezilla with the default settings some file types which you included in binary files were not present in filezilla so i added them.

The specific issue is the re-captcha not appearing :S, You told me to re-upload all vBulletin contents onto my forum, but you told me something about ACSII and Binary something of which i never came across, I'm just making sure. I'm sorry you are getting agitated, but i appreciate your support. Can you please check my print screen if its right if so i will continue uploading the forum and checking if the re-captcha appears onto my forum.

I just reverted to questions and answers because of the number of bots that have been able to get past capcha.
