[Forum] Favicon wont appear on Internet Explorer

I can't figure out for the life of me on why my favicon wont appear on IE8 but it appears on Firefox. Any ideas?

Try another favicon and see if that works. If another works fine, then take a look at your favicon using a program like IcoFX and check to see how many resolutions it has. My favicon has two, 16x16 and 32x32.

In addition to what Andy has said, IE has always been somewhat pedantic when it comes to displaying favicons. The chances are if it's working for you in FF then it'll probably be working for everyone else in IE.

Deleting all the history, cookies and bookmarks for the problem site and then saving the bookmark again might make it appear but it's not guaranteed.

I had the exact same issue myself a couple of days ago, none of the above worked at the time but when I returned to the site the next day it simply appeared.
