[Forum] Howto restore the usergroup awaiting email confirmation?

Dear vBulletin,

It really sucks users awaiting email confirmation are not displayed in the what's going on box, it sucks even more the devs didn't even give us the option to choose.

Please tell me how I can restore this function so that it works like it did before it was messed up?

I want users awaiting email confirmation to be displayed in the what's going on list.
I want them counted as members and not guests.
