This thread was opened by firfox problems and it seems that only care about google chrome.

    I am very disappointed

Ok attached SS and page source.

I am getting the feeling that this is a problem with the browser itself. However why it occurs only on some sites and why it cant be reproduced always from all locations is a mystery.

I tried to optimize caching by adding some codes on htaccess file (try to search on here, i got that tips from this forum).
And finally it is loaded fast (at least such as loaded on my IE and chrome) until now.

I guess my firefox had problem with caching or something like that.
Wanted to add, I had this same problem.

The forum runs like crap on Firefox but is smoking fast with IE and Chrome.

VB 4 just doesn't like firefox for some reason. This partially helped me at least make it bearable: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...-Chrome-and-IE

Ok.... I think I've found it.

I have KeepAlive enabled in Apache, and originally had KeepAliveTimeout set to 15. With that configuration I would see Firefox hang for about 15 seconds after loading the page. I changed KeepAliveTimeout to 5 and then saw the page hang for 5 seconds. Then I disabled KeepAlive altogether and the page loads in under 2 seconds.

Non-vB sites on this server don't exhibit this behavior, only the vB sites. Any idea why this would be?

Looks and loads fine. Longest page load took 1 second flat. Only thing I can see is you use a lot of animation. Gifs, flash and lots of extrenous little pictures everywhere. All that has to download to the viewer's browser. And if you're using a non main stream browser or an older version of IE or firefox you may get some load time issues.
I did notice the threads loaded but continued to load a lot of jpg and gifs. But I scrolled down the thread and didn't see anything not loaded as I looked at it.
By the way Marina's sig is screwed up. It's jumping between 2 frames and not through the whole loop.

Mike, yours looks great in IE and FF. You're on 4.0.6 I noticed. Pages load real fast as do your pictures. What size engine is in the SCUD?
              ...

Ok, found a solution. It looks like there's an old PHP bug in which Firefox keeps the "page load" process open until the Apache KeepAlive expires. This only seems to occur when zlib.output_compress is set to "on" in the PHP configuration, disabling it causes the page to load immediately.

                    It's 360, 030 over. About 11.5:1 compression.
