[Forum] Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file.

When I try to attach an image using the Insert Image button, and selecting "From URL" and checking the "Retrieve and Reference Locally" box, I get a popup saying:

Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file.

Any idea what went wrong?

I'm on vb4.03.

Are you using imagemagick? I had a similar problem and switching to GD fixed it.

I'm using neither; by this I'm gathering you're referring to AdminCP > Options > Image Settings > Image Processing Library. Mine is set to "None" as I dont want compression to be done on my images.

Test uploading other file types, DOC, XLS, PDF, etc. If all fail, then this is a webhosting issue.

Is your server running PHP in Safe Mode or with open_basedir?
