[Forum] Are fixed issues with 4.0.4 Updated or do I have to fix bugs manualy after upgrading?

Was was really looking forward to 4.0.4.

But it seams there are alot of errors in it, so I and a few others have been holding of the upgrade.

Question:
When bugs are found, does Vbulletin update the upgrade files or do we manualy have to fix found bugs ?

In my opinion, they should fix critical ones immediately after the solution is known so that new customers downloading 4.0.4 would would have working version without searching for solutions all over the forum. But... apparently, there is no such release.

My advice - don't upgrade. Too many new bugs introduced. Wait at least for 4.0.4 PL1.

As far as I know, vBulletin do not update any files until the next release or patch / patch level (PL).

My advice - don't upgrade. Too many new bugs introduced. Wait at least for 4.0.4 PL1.

Most are not fixed in PL1. I think the policy for PL patch releases is to fix security issues only, not other bugs.

4.0.4 is still very buggy at the moment. I think your better off with 4.0.3 until the major issues get addressed.

Did you file a support ticket? or submit it to the bug tracker?

You have to submit it as a bug.
Rhe forum is for questions, help and discussions.

You can use the forum to identify your problem, but you have to submit it as a bug to insure that it is trackable.
And the better bug report you do, the higher your chance of a bug fix is.
